About This Coffee

This is our No.17 signature coffee blend.

This dark roasted coffee blend is a popular choice for those that like a strong, Italian style, punchy coffee. Whilst it's strong in flavour, creating a fantastic intense espresso experience, you don't feel restricted to drinking just one single coffee.

This powerful and full flavoured blend has notes of redwood and bourbon and can be compared to a lovely rich, Italian full-bodied espresso.

Our No.17 is roasted for a longer period of time than our other roasts which results in more of the oils reaching the surface. This roast level brings out a more full bodied, spicy flavour which is perfect for achieving that Italian style coffee which is perfect for espresso.

This coffee is available as 6 different grind types:

- Medium (for filter)
- Coarse (for cafetiere)
- Nespresso Sealpod (for reusable Sealpod capsules)
- Dolce Gusto Sealpod (for reusable Sealpod capsules)

Coffee and filters for Dolce Gusto seal pods

Excellent service as ever from Maverick. The seal pods for the Dolce Gusto are great at saving plastic usage. I use the filter papers as it makes cleaning so easy, as less coffee sticks to pod before it goes into the composter container. A quick rinse and it all done.

Maverick 17

Sorry but I have been nurtured on expresso coffee, either my pods are not up to my expectations or the coffee is weaker, I was trying to reduce plastic wastage but may have to revert back to 10 or 11 strength pods I have a N’esspresso machine,

Hi Peter, thank you for the review. Sorry to hear you're not getting the results you were expecting. The strongest coffee we sell is the Perfect for Pods No.4 so it's worth trying this one, and the No.1 is also good. It's going to be hard to get a close match to a strength 10 or 11 Nespresso pod because we don't have Robusta in our coffee like Nespresso do. We always recommend using two pods if you like a very strong coffee. This should help a lot :)
